A Welcoming Front Door Makeover for a Brooklyn Brownstone

If you’re looking for an easy way make your home feel more welcoming, here’s some inspiration for a quick and simple front door makeover to give your house more curb appeal. I recently teamed up with Schlage locks as their blogger ambassador for the Elevate Design Collective which you can read all about here. Schlage approached me with the task of incorporating their products into an exterior home makeover which was such a fun challenge because as an interior designer, I rarely have the opportunity to revamp the outside of a home! Enter my friend Nykia who purchased her …

Cocktail Hour: The Four Diamonds Strawberry Frozen Cocktail

Summer is finally here which means its time to mix up some frozen cocktails! Last year I took a trip to the Dominican Republic and fell in love with a frozen drink called the Four Diamonds which was served at the resort where I stayed. This rum based cocktail is mixed with strawberries, coconut, Irish cream and ice. I probably shouldn’t admit this but it’s SO good I pretty much inhaled several of these a day during my stay and loved the drink so much I convinced the bartender to give me the recipe! Now I’m sharing it with you! …

Pretty & Polished

I’ve noticed recently that when I share my personal style on Instagram people are always asking questions about what I’m wearing and seem to want to see more! So I’ve decided to start sharing a bit more of my personal style here on the blog. Since this is a space that’s typically reserved for all things home, let me know if you’re into this or not – would love your feedback! And for my first outfit post, I’m sharing this look that I wore a few weeks back for the launch of the Elevate Design Collective loft. I was told …

Luckily, One Kings Lane recently shared a tour of their new Studio on its blog and just as expected, its chock full of inspiration. Located in San Francisco’s hip SoMa neighborhood, The2,200-square-foot space showcases some of the most stylish finds One Kings Lane has to offer …

48 Hours In San Francisco

Last month I took a super quick trip to San Francisco for a one day conference and padded on a tiny bit of extra time so that I could see the city and explore. I’d only been to San Francisco once before for a business trip a number of years ago but didn’t get to see much. This time around, even though I was there for just two full days, I made the most of every second of my free time and had a blast being a tourist and eating my way through the city! I already can’t wait to …
