Fall 2008 show season has officially ended and since I previously recapped some of the chicest fashion show goers captured by The Sartorialist during New York Fashion Week, I thought I’d do the same for the Milan and Paris shows as well. Enjoy!

This is Nylon magazine’s Fashion Director Dani Stahl. (In Milan on the left and Paris on the right) She’s has such a cool, downtown style.  Dani is also designs an AMAZING collection of jewelry for Lia Sophia. I have one of her rings from her first line and it’s one of my favorite jewelry items.

The Chamberlain Hotel’s Exterior

I’m heading to LA tomorrow for work and am psyched to be staying at another one of my favorite hotels…The Chamberlain in West Hollywood. You must know that I’m admittedly a bit of a hotel snob. I love to stay in hotels with gorgeous interiors, a great restaurant and, if it’s in a warm weather locale, it has to have an amazing pool. I also really appreciate a quiet, low-key ambiance. I hate to stay in a hotel that’s so hip and cool you feel like you’re in a nightclub. Fortunately, The Chamberlain encompasses everything …

This year I watched the entire broadcast of the Oscars and I actually thought the show was pretty entertaining. Rather surprising given that this year’s show almost didn’t happen due to the writer’s strike…not to mention the fact I that always find the Oscars to be such a bore. Usually I just watch the pre-show red carpet coverage and then tune-in to the last half hour to see who wins Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Picture. I’m very pleased this year’s Oscars surpassed my expectations!

Anyway–One of Sunday’s more memorable Oscar moments, in my opinion, didn’t involve the actual …

Madeline Weinrib Clothing

It looks like our favorite purveyor of ethnic printed textiles, Madeline Weinrib, is branching out. While flipping through the March issue of Oprah I came across this jacket:

Madeline Weinrib’s ikat jacket, made of natural fibers, is featured in an article about eco-chic clothing. I get that its hand woven and all but I really don’t think the $1600 price tag is justified. And I also think the print is a bit too bold for a piece of clothing.

As much as I love the great way in which the worlds of fashion and interior design …

Linda Rodin in Domino

Just before Christmas I ran into stylist Linda Rodin, a long time colleague, at a party and she told me that she was going to be featured on the endnote page in the March issue of Domino. So…when my copy arrived in the mailbox a couple of days ago I flipped straight to the back of the book to read her feature. As usual, Linda looked fabulous! She always wears red lipstick and has on a stylish pair of frames…just like in her Domino photo. In the “10 Things that Make Me Happy” feature she even mentions tortoise shell glasses …

The view of Le Sereno & its beach from my room’s terrace…wish I was there again!

Yesterday was absolutely freezing in New York! The low was 19 degrees but with the wind chill it felt more like 7 (Do I sound like a weatherman?!). Today isn’t much warmer. As you could imagine, being outside in this weather is completely miserable! Makes me want to get the hell out of here and jet off to someplace warm and fabulous like the fashionable, tropical island of St. Barths, where I visited this past December. I’ve been there twice and both times I …
