Just before Christmas I escaped to the beautiful island of Virgin Gorda for 5 nights and I’m really excited to share a bit of my trip with you. If you’re not familiar with Virgin Gorda, it’s located in the Caribbean just East of Puerto Rico and is one of the British Virgin Islands. Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I started So Haute and I’m amazed at how quickly my little blog has grown. The school is run by Chef David Sterling and his partner Keith Heitke, former New Yorkers who traded in the big city for the historic charm of Mérida, the capital of the Yucatán. Los Dos offers a variety of culinary experiences including day long small group classes, three day intensive workshops, half …

Hi Everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA for the past couple of weeks. I was unexpectedly overwhelmed by some of those occasional curve balls that life throws at you so I took a much needed break to deal with it all. One of those curve balls was the dreaded death of my laptop! I swear I go through a new laptop every two years and after a series of bad luck with PC’s I’ve finally switched to a Mac. Hopefully this one will last me for a while. Still getting used it (I just picked it up yesterday!) …
