Well, not only will his furniture collection debut next year, but Posen is also teaming up with architect Morris Adjmi to design a boutique condo residence in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Do you ever feel like life is moving 1,000 miles per hour and you just can’t keep up? That’s how I’ve been feeling lately. I’m sure you’ve noticed my extended absence from the blog. Just before I took my birthday vacation in August, my grandma got very sick and after spending more than a month in the hospital, sadly, she passed away on September 16th at age 86. So I’m back after my week long vacay in the Dominican Republic. With a lot going on in my personal life combined with the stresses of my demanding job and the daily rigors of living in New York, I really needed to get away and this trip is just what the doctor ordered! Today marks the 28th year of my existence!! I celebrated over the weekend with a fun rooftop party. Tonight after work I’m keeping it low key. A friend recently asked me how I keep my white bed linens so crisp and white so I thought I’d share some of my top tips for laundering your white linens here.
1. Wash your white linens separately. Mixing them with non-white laundry or with dissimilar textures (such as towels) can often cause pillage.
2. Always wash in cold water. Unless your linens are heavily soiled, there’s really no need to wash on any temperature other than cold. High heat can break down the fibers in your linens, thus reducing their durability and lifespan. …
