On Monday evening I had the pleasure of attending Elle Decor’s second annual Women in Design event which celebrated five leading women in the design industry. The event featured a panel discussion moderated by editor-in-chief Margaret Russell with designers Holly Hunt, Michelle Nussbaumer, Kelly Wearstler and Charlotte Moss, who was honored with a special Vision Award. Holly Hunt was very graceful and poised and also …

Do you ever feel like life is moving 1,000 miles per hour and you just can’t keep up? That’s how I’ve been feeling lately. I’m sure you’ve noticed my extended absence from the blog. It’s been almost a month since I’ve posted and I am sorry.  Just before I took my birthday vacation in August, my grandma got very sick and after spending more than a month in the hospital, sadly, she passed away on September 16th at age 86. Today marks the 28th year of my existence!! I celebrated over the weekend with a fun rooftop party. Tonight after work I’m keeping it low key. It’s also located right in the heart of Hollywood so it’s easily accessible and even on holidays it’s still open. I always manage to check it out when I’m in town and it’s …

I have some really exciting projects in the works and I wanted to update you on what I’ve been up to and what’s to come here on So Haute!

So Haute is getting a makeover! I’ve been working on re-designing my blog, both from a design and a content standpoint. When I launched So Haute in January of ’08 my intent was to blog about not only decorating, but other passions including food and travel. The blog took on a life of its own, primarily focusing on interior design, which has been very well received (& I’m so grateful!). When…
