A Look at Kelly Wearstler's New Lighting Collection

One of the things I love most about my job is having an opportunity to preview collections before they hit the market and last fall during High Point Market, I got to check out Kelly Wearstler’s impressive new lighting collection for Visual Comfort. Above is a snap from the showroom and now, nearly 9 months later, the pieces are finally available for pre-oder. Like her interior designs, Kelly’s lighting collection is edgy and avant garde with a mix of luxurious materials, organic shapes and sculptural elements. You’ll find an abundance of burnished brass, polished nickel, bronze, quartz, alabaster and beautifully glazed ceramics. Some of the pieces seem to be influenced by Jean de Merry and others, such as the perforated pieces are inspired by some of her custom furniture designs. Below are a few of my favorites. I’ve rounded up a selection of the best from her collection below along with some inspiration images highligting some of her edgier lighting choices in her interior design projects. Here, custom perforated brass tables reminiscent of the “Precision” perforated lighting in her new Visual Comfort collection. Kelly also has a similar side table and bench in her furniture collection.
