Fall is finally here! The leaves are beginning to turn shades of burnt orange and golden yellow, the air is getting brisk and I’m starting to crave more warmth and comfort at home. Just like your wardrobe, I believe you should update your decor from season to season with small changes that will have a big impact. With fall in full-swing and the weather getting colder, here are 5 stylish ways to transition your decor and give your home a cozier feel for fall…

Fall Foliage Decor Transition

1. Bring Fall indoors with a loose arrangement of cut branches bearing autumnal colors in lieu of a traditional floral arrangement. You can cut branches from your own yard or find faux stems from your favorite craft store or home retailer.

2. Add a cozy throw to any room. You can drape it over a sofa, a chair or your bed for an extra layer of warmth to keep you toasty when the temperature drops. This is at the top of my fall decor wishlist!

3. Incorporate a new throw pillows. I love the idea of adding a fur or faux fur throw pillow for a warm and luxurious update to your sofa.

Flannel Sheets - Fall Decor Transition

4. Swap out your bedding with a style that”s super soft to the touch, like flannel – a comfy classic that only gets softer over time. Nothing feels more comforting on a chilly night!

5. Fall is all about layering, and just as in fashion, you should follow the same strategy with your home and add layers to your decor. Try layering a new rug on top of your existing rug for added warmth, texture and interest. This works best when you pair a solid rug that is neutral and super rich in texture like the natural fiber rug or the sheepskin flokati rug with a more flat weave style rug that has an interesting pattern like in the examples above.

Happy Fall Decorating!!!
