If you follow me on Instagram you probably know that for the past few days I’ve been in North Carolina at the Spring ’14 High Point Market which is the world’s largest home furnishings trade show where buyers, designers, editors and industry trend experts come to check out the latest in home. It happens twice yearly in Spring and Fall and is sort of like Fashion Week for our industry. I’ll be posting a few of my favorite finds from market on the High Point Market Authority Pinterest board which you can find here and, of course, you can follow me on Instagram to see more images of all the cool things that catch my eye. I’m also working on some great post that you can find here on So Haute over the next couple of weeks highlighting the most exciting collections, products and trends that I discovered on this trip. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with one of the highlights from last Spring’s High Point trip – a tour of a stunning great room designed by Miles Redd for the Adamsleigh showhouse which was held in conjunction with the Spring 13 market and was sponsored by Traditional Home to benefit the Junior League of Greensboro. Miles Redd is such a mix master and his attention to detail is impeccable. See the last shot of the detail on the inside of the window treatments which illustrates what I’m talking about. As I always say, good design is in the details! Finally – if you love that fabulous peacock printed fabric seen throughout the room, you can purchase it by the yard here.
